Woke up, fell out of bed, Tripped on the cat. and then i spilled coffee in the car.
Already had one customer bitch to me that our service was closed today (not my problem)
5 minutes later, some dude with a pinecone up his ass called for parts (also closed) and INSISTED that I get them a key. told them I cant, they asked me for somewhere close by. (we are the only dealer for ~ 20km) told then about another dealer across the city.
“Oh, so whats their phone number? can you transfer me over?”
-you can google it yourself, you called us didnt you?
oops. oh well.
B&W photo of the daytona for your time

On more positive news, I got my Daytona back after the engine rebuild. The head developed a nasty crack over the winter. Ooops. Runs better than ever now.

I’m taking the motor and the 2006 to the shop on friday. 2006 has some weird vibration in it after about 15 minutes of riding.

yep. I’m debating if I want to wait for this motor to come back from the shop rebuilt, or rip the engine out of my track bike and use that

Thats not a bad price. But be aware the header design changed in 2009 from circle port to oval port. Your headers may not be compatible

I have 3 triumphs...
2006- former track bike,
current DD: motor runs.
2010- new track bike: motor runs
2011- old DD, motor on a trolley and apart
take a WILD guess who is getting the 2012 motor I bought? :)

To be fair, mine was because of my stupidity and not the fault of Triumph. Didn’t think about the consequences of leaving water-wetter in the bike over the winter. The cracked head is on me.
